TUnit - The solution for the disposal of waste water and supply of drinking water

The TUnit from Vogelsang is a station for the extraction of toilet waste water and supply of drinking water in train care service depot. The TUnit is available as a stand-alone station with an integrated rotary lobe pump or as a satellite service module in conjunction with a VacUnit as a centralised disposal system. All necessary elements for efficient supply and disposal are included. The standard model typically has a hose working radius of 7.5 min all directions. The TUnit is particularly robust and is equipped with a mast with an integrated hose retraction system allowing for suspended hose management.

The maintenance of the TUnit is very simple thanks to its uncomplicated structure and easy access. This also includes the rotary lobe pump installed in stand-alone systems (TUnit SP), which consists of only a few components based on the Vogelsang QuickService concept.

Features

To ensure safe operation even in subzero temperatures and to protect the cabinets or pumps, electric heating elements as well as heating pipes can be used optionally. The heating system is equipped with temperature sensors and an automatic temperature control.
The TUnit has an automatic hose drainage to emptying completely the hose after using it. This is very important for locations with minus zero temperatures in winter.
The CabinetUnit, TUnit, WaterUnit and RoadPump are equipped with a hose retraction system to roll up the hose easily after each use.
Various couplings for drink and waste water are available for our systems. The drink water coupling fulfills all requirements of drinking water quality according to the German Railway Federation (EBA).
For some products there is available a flushing water system to clean the tanks after emptying them of waste water, to prevent bad odours.

Options

Optionally some of our equipments can be equipped with a CET-Tank flushing hose to rinse with fresh water the toilet tanks after empyting them of waste water.
The CabinetUnit and TUnit are equipped with IEC-couplings for remote auto-water stop.
A remote control is used in some Vogelsang systems, as ReelUnit, CabinetUnit, BioUnit or TUnit, to control the right operation of the system. It allows, for example, valves to be opened and closed in the ReelSystem. Optionally, the BioUnit can be equipped with a remote control module, network connected or online, to adjust all cleaning parameters of the complete system.
For an easier control and management of the system, the TUnit or the BioUnit can be optionally equipped with an authorization system for user access management.
Optionally, the WaterUnit, BioUnit or TUnit can be equipped with a data acquisition system: all the filling and flushing processes can be logged, saved and transferred via wireless standard.
With a flowmeter installed in some of our products for the railway sector, as the CabinetUnit, TUnit or in the WaterUnit, we can measure and control the exact quantity of waste water, fresh and drink water we need to deliver or dispose.
The CabinetUnit or the TUnit can be optionally equipped with an automated filling cycle with predefined volume (auto-water stop).

The TUnit is the proven standard for the disposal of toilet waste water and supply of water in the railway service sector. The TUnit is available in a number of different variants. The station can be offered for small service facilities as a stand-alone station system or in combination with a centralised vacuum pump station in medium to large systems railway service facilities. All TUnit's are compact, easy to handle and suitable for outdoor use.

Stand-alone systems for toilet waste water disposal are the perfect solutions for small train care depots and service stations. The TUnit SP systems can be operated independently due to their integrated rotary lobe pump.

The TUnit SP is extremely user-friendly. Vacuum extraction and water hoses are mounted on a T-shaped mast. The hoses' automatic retraction mechanism ensures a convenient hose operation in all directions and reliable and tidy hose stowage.

Similar to the stand-alone TUnit SP, the TUnit MP multi point service station is also extremely user-friendly. The hoses, which are attached to a mast with automatic retraction, ensure a lar convenient hose operation in all directions and reliable and tidy hose stowage. This means that easy filling of water and disposal of toilet waste water is possible even if the connections to the train are not in the immediate vicinity. Thanks to their automated retraction mechanism, the hoses are always ready for use. The TUnit MP  service module is connected to a centralised vacuum pumping station and can therefore be designed to be particularly compact.
