UK AD and World Biogas Expo 2018 serves to ignite biogas growth around the world bringing together over 3,500 visitors and 200 exhibitors. Vogelsang Limited was on site to educate visitors on ways to improve operational efficiency and offer guidance on how to increase gas yield from AD plants with Vogelsang technology.
The UK AD & Biogas 2018 provided an opportunity to see the latest biogas technologies and learn methods for improving operational performance. The event gathered together leading influencers, biogas experts and cutting edge technology from across the globe. This year’s theme highlighted the role of bioenergy in the market and how to make best use of waste resources.
Charlotte Morton, Chief Executive of ADBA, kicked off the event by drawing attention to the anticipated changes to the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) that have finally come into effect. She noted that the recent European Union’s Circular Economy Package will mandate different collections for biowaste. These efforts will encourage further investment into the AD sector including upgrading of existing AD plants and increasing onsite operational efficiency.

It mixes and macerates a wide range of input materials from fibrous matter to food waste, separates out heavy
material and pumps the homogeneous suspension into the digester for optimal fermentation.
