| Company, Press

Essen/Oldb., Germany, February 21, 2019 – Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG increased its revenue by 6 percent to around 112 million euros in the financial year 2018. Key drivers for this development are the expansion of the Vogelsang subsidiaries in Germany and abroad as well as the growing global production.

“With new assembly lines in Italy and Spain, we successfully set up our first manufacturing plants in other European countries. This is our response to the increasing demand for our products in these countries and we are setting the best possible conditions for further growth,” says Harald Vogelsang, Managing Director of Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG.

The machine construction company holds more than 25 subsidiaries worldwide and employs over 900 people.

Local assembly lines bring Vogelsang closer to customers

Vogelsang customers worldwide benefit from the growing network of subsidiaries and production sites. Local production facilities and assembly lines help to serve customers more quickly and flexibly. Vogelsang ensures a globally consistent level of quality with defined international process standards. Thus, the company established the new position of the International Manufacturing Manager for introduction and monitoring.

New products in the segments of wastewater and industry

There were also new developments in the product portfolio: In the wastewater segment, Vogelsang launched two new twin-shaft grinders. The XRipper XRG for large sewers and very high flow rates, and the XRipper XRC100 for narrow, high-ceilinged sewers. Vogelsang presented the two models for the first time at IFAT in Munich. In the industrial segment, the Vogelsang subsidiary beba Technology presented the prototype of a food mixer at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne.

Capacity expansion and new showroom at headquarters

At the company headquarters in Essen/Oldb., Vogelsang started construction of a 4,000 sqm CNC hall last year and increased the capacity for the production of dribble bar systems for liquid manure spreading. The new hall is due to begin operations in mid-2019. The new administration building, which offers around 50 additional office workplaces, has already been completed. As of this year, Vogelsang also has a showroom.

“The new showroom is one of the highlights at our headquarters. Here we will present our products and innovations, hold in-house events and press conferences,” says Harald Vogelsang.

Vogelsang celebrates 90th anniversary

This year, the company can look back on 90 years of Vogelsang history. Harald Vogelsang says, “2019 is a special year for Vogelsang because it combines innovation with tradition. We will be celebrating this milestone with numerous campaigns and events for our customers, partners and employees throughout the year.”
