Bombas Beto with Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps for the sugar industry at Fenasucro & Agrocana 2018
Robust and reliable pump technology for highly viscous media
Essen/Oldb., July 3, 2018 – Vogelsang rotary lobe pumps for demanding applications and viscous media in the sugar industry will be exhibited by Bombas Beto at Fenasucro & Agrocana from August 21 to 24 in Sertãozinho, Brazil. At booth A04 the focus will be on the rotary lobe pumps of the VX series.
“In the sugar industry we often handle viscous media that require powerful pumping technology. At the same time, the sugar crystals in the fluids have to be treated gently. That’s what our VX series pumps are designed for, and they’ve proved themselves in numerous applications,” says Walter Wetzel, Managing Director of Bombas Beto.
Gentle yet powerful pumping technology
Sugar crystals are contained for example in magma – an intermediate product in sugar production. After cooling and drying, the massecuite is formed from this viscous mass. The sugar crystals react sensitively to shear forces and therefore must be treated gently. The HiFlo® lobes of the Vogelsang VX series, which run pulsation-free, ensure gentle pumping. The steel lobes are twisted about the axle at a defined angle. This prevents pressure surges and vibrations. This gentle pumping keeps the sugar crystals intact.
The high temperatures in sugar production and characteristics of the media also require versatile pump technology. The rotary lobe pumps of the VX series are temperature-resistant up to 100 degrees Celsius and reliably pump media with a viscosity of up to 100,000 mPas or in extreme cases with an even higher viscosity. The integrated InjectionSystem increases the efficiency of the pumps, thereby improving the pumping of the solid matter. The rotary lobe pumps of the VX series are easy to maintain, self-priming, and resistant to dry running. The all-round pumps of the VX series are suitable for a vast array of industrial ranges of application and can be customized in terms of material, features and power to meet the requirements.
