EuroTier: Highly economical liquid manure spreading

Vogelsang to present easy to maintain components at EuroTier & EnergyDecentral

| Press, Agricultural technology

Essen/Oldb., September 4, 2018 – What makes liquid manure spreading economical? Getting the right technology for your conditions. This is the central theme of the presentation by Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG, inventor of the dribble bar system, at EuroTier & EnergyDecentral in Hanover (November 13-16, 2018, booth A38 in hall 27), where the company will show its wide range of solutions for the efficient and precise spreading of liquid manure.

“The properties of the liquid manure, the soil conditions, and the crops planted or the surface being fertilized are critical in determining which spreading method is most suitable. Farmers and contractors can only make the spreading of liquid manure more economical by using powerful, individually planned spreading technology,” says Harald Vogelsang, Managing Director of Vogelsang.

Quick part changes on the RotaCut

Besides the spreading technologies already established on the market and proven in practice, such as the dribble bar, Vogelsang's booth will present a prototype of the enhanced RotaCut RCX-58H wet cutter. The RotaCut is a central component in liquid manure management. With its improved cutting performance and highly effective separation function, it ensures reliable shredding of fibrous and coarse matter, for trouble-free utilization of the liquid manure.

Vogelsang: “As part of the enhancement of the RotaCut, we made various little adjustments that make the wet cutter considerably easier to maintain. It's now even easier and faster to change parts.”

A new sensor has also been built which determines the exact wear on the cutting blade, so the maintenance work can be planned in advance. The RotaCut RCX-58H also provides a high degree of operational safety, with separate monitoring of the sealing prechamber and Automatic Cut Control (ACC) for the cutting pressure. The drive unit used here can be retrofitted on existing RotaCut models. Modifications to the cutter head of the RotaCut allowed Vogelsang to reduce its weight by 30 kilograms.

VX series in low-weight aluminum version

A lightweight design for the components installed on liquid manure tank vehicles is increasingly important to farmers and contractors, who are working together with vehicle manufacturers to keep the empty weight of the vehicle as low as possible. This increases the possible payload, making work more resource-efficient. With the low-weight aluminum version of the VX series rotary lobe pump, Vogelsang is offering tough and reliable pump technology versatile enough to be installed on any liquid manure vehicle. The aluminum design allows the weight of the various pump models to be reduced to as low as 126.5 kilograms.

DosiMat DMX precision distributor permits flexible spreading capacities

Vogelsang has also optimized and refined its precision distributor. With the DosiMat DMX, the company will be presenting a machine that allows a high degree of flexibility in spreading capacity. This also means the precision distributor complies with the requirements of Germany's new fertilizer regulations, which provides a larger spreading capacity in spring and a smaller capacity in fall. The DosiMat DMX also handles larger throughput rates and boasts improved cutting performance.
