General Information
Sustainability as a responsibility—not as an obligation
At Vogelsang sustainability is not a legal requirement, but a fundamental conviction of our family-owned company. As a company with a responsibility toward our employees, society, and—in particular—current and future generations, we pursue sustainable business practices that benefit both people and the environment.
By establishing an interdisciplinary core sustainability team, we are systematically working to minimize negative impacts and risks and to expand positive opportunities. With our firmly established sustainability strategy, we follow the guiding principle of holistic sustainability throughout our value chain and focus on the three dimensions of environment, social responsibility, and economy. In regular sustainability reports, we provide transparent information about our sustainability management, our measures, and our progress.

For the 2024 fiscal year we reported for the first time in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Despite the Omnibus Directive and the elimination of formal reporting requirements, we have made a conscious decision to continue communicating comprehensively about our material sustainability issues and to maintain a reliable communication format for our stakeholders. In our view, transparency is the key to acting responsibly.
We actively contribute to the international Sustainable Development Goals—the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. The SDGs ensure sustainable development worldwide in the environmental, economic, and social spheres.
