Rothenschirmbach industrial estate, November 11, 1991: The go-ahead has been given for the construction of the branch, Vogelsang has acquired the land for its second German site. Just under 1.5 years later, in April 1993, operations began, initially with pump repairs, the manufacture and assembly of smaller towed hose distributors for special vehicles and sales. Today, 44 employees work at the Vogelsang plant in Rothenschirmbach, a district of Lutherstadt Eisleben in the Mansfeld-Südharz district of Saxony-Anhalt, in the work preparation, production, service and plant engineering departments. The focus is on agricultural technology. The employees at the branch manufacture the entire range of dribble bar and trailing shoe systems for liquid manure spreading, including, for example, the SwingMax dribble bar linkage with a working width of 36 meters.

The service department in Rothenschirmbach has a broad base and supports customers from the greater central German region, mainly in the agricultural segment, but also in the areas of waste water technology, biogas technology and traffic technology, as well as in industrial applications. The trained staff at the branch are very familiar with the entire Vogelsang product range. “The great commitment of the employees contributes significantly to our good service. The geographical location is also a plus - the short distance to the highway means we can reach our customers quickly,” says Köhler. There is a well-organized flow of information between the work preparation, plant construction, production with welders and fitters and the cutting department, where entire drag hose systems have been assembled since 2019.

The East branch is also an important location for the people of the region. As an employer and training company - the team has trained around 20 apprentices since 1993 - it enriches the city's commercial area. In addition, Köhler and his team support social projects and associations in which employees are also active. For example, the company donated a transportable VX136-210Q pump with geared motor and control cabinet to the Osterhausen fire department.

The branch also supported the purchase of non-fiction books for the elementary school in Osterhausen and the conversion of the fire department in Rothenschirmbach.
