The international mechanical engineering company will also be presenting the modified PreMix IC liquid feeding system and the HiCone conical progressive cavity pump.
Brinkmann: "Solid matter feeding is a key function in the process flow of a biogas plant and have a major influence on the gas yield and energy requirements of the plant. The more thoroughly the feedstock is processed, the higher the gas yield." He continues: "With our wide range of solid matter feeders, we offer biogas plant operators the opportunity to select the perfect system for their requirements and solid matter and to optimally process the respective input materials as required for efficient and trouble-free fermentation."
HiCone at the heart of the MixXPump
Whether for modernizing existing systems or designing future-proof new-builds: With the MixXPump, operators can set up their biogas plant's feeding technology in an efficient and modern way. Thanks to its flat design, the solid matter feeder can be easily integrated into existing processes. The central component of the MixXPump is the HiCone conical progressive cavity pump. It conveys the previously prepared and mashed solid matter as a suspension into the digesters. The conical rotor-stator geometry of the HiCone makes it possible to compensate for signs of wear on the conveying elements through precise readjustment. There is no need for costly and time-consuming parts replacement. If the rotor and stator need to be replaced after a long service life, Vogelsang's QuickService concept simplifies the replacement of the parts. This reduces the otherwise lengthy solid matter feeding downtime to just a few hours; the fermentation process is more stable and consistent.
Visitors to the stand can also find out more about the precise functioning of the innovative HiCone technology and its benefits at a separate exhibit showcasing the conical progressive cavity pump.
Efficient solid matter feeding with the PreMix IC/ICC
With the PreMix IC, Vogelsang is presenting the premium version for solid matter feeding at Ecomondo. The PreMix combines four work steps – separating the heavy material, mashing the input materials, cut coarse and fibrous solids, and conveying the suspension – in one space-saving unit. In the modified liquid feeding system, Vogelsang combines the HiCone conical progressive cavity pump and the RotaCut RCX wet cutter. The powerful RotaCut cutting system also chops down challenging, fibrous solid matter. The PreMix separates heavy material contained in the input materials and discharges it during operation with the optional Debris Removal System (DRS).
In addition, the system is equipped with improved software and a modernized user interface, making it even more efficient and user-friendly. The Performance Control Unit (PCU) automatically controls the liquid feeding system within the optimum range to ensure efficient solid matter feeding throughout. All crucial parameters and settings can be configured from the control room or by remote control. Overall, the modified PreMix is characterized by even better performance, reduced wear and tear, a longer service life, lower operating costs and less energy consumption.
