The customer and the problem
The typical housing is apartments in KoreaFood waste is traditionally disposed of by using garbage bags into a container. This is accompanied by foul-smelling liquids and odors in the buildings. Modern residential complexes avoid this by providing an inlet for food waste disposal on each floor or in each apartment. The organic waste collected in a tank is then shredded and pumped into a disposal vehicle.
The problem
This type of disposal requires a system consisting of a collection tank, a robust and powerful shredder and a pump that can pump both viscous and thin fluids while is resisting against foreign bodies. All these components require a lot of space, which is usually not available. Installing such systems in confined spaces is complex and expensive. Service and maintenance are complicated and costly.


The solution
The XRipper Combi is the ideal solution for this application. The extremely compact combination of shredder and rotary lobe pump requires significantly less space and only one drive is needed for both functions. Overall, it is much easier and quicker to install. This leaves more space for service and maintenance work, which can be carried out quickly and easily on site thanks to the QuickService design. After removing the cover, both the lobes in the pump chamber and the ripper rotors in the shredding chamber are accessible.
